Are the busy weekdays keeping you from planning and preparing healthy, quick, and delicious meals for your family? In this post, you’ll learn an easy way to plan and prepare healthy 30-minute weeknight meals for the whole family to enjoy! Look for Foster Farms chicken with the DORI™ QR Code available in California, Oregon, and Washington States.

How to Plan and Prepare Healthy 30-minute Weeknight Meals

Thanks to Foster Farms for sponsoring this post.

I know how busy our weeks can be! I feel you. Between trying to drop off the kids at school, running several errands, keeping the house clean and organized, sometimes having to work in the middle of all this, picking the kids up, taking them to practice, and tons of other responsibilities… finding time to plan and prepare healthy meals for weeknights can be almost impossible!

But still. We don’t want to sacrifice our family’s health and our precious time around the table eating delicious homemade meals. Do we?

One of the hardest things for me when it comes to planning meals for our family is actually finding a good recipe that requires very few ingredients and can be ready in 30 minutes or less.

This is exactly what you can find when you use the Foster Farms DORI™ QR code that comes on your chicken package. I had no idea about this and I was extremely excited to discover that I can have access to the information I need the most, right on my chicken package (something I come across every time I’m cooking chicken, obviously)!!!

I will show you how easily you can take advantage of this!

How to Plan & Prepare Healthy 30-minute Meals (with the DORI label)

Step 1: Make sure you choose a chicken package with the Foster Farms DORI™ label on it

The first thing you’re going to do is make sure the chicken you’re buying has a Foster Farms DORI™ label on it! This label comes with a scannable QR code, which is what you’ll need to be able to access the hundreds of original recipes, deals, and everything else Foster Farms DORI™ offers. Which, by the way, Foster Farms is currently one of the first fresh poultry/meat companies with an on-pack QR code.

Step 2: Find the healthy 30-minute weeknight meal recipes

Simply scan the Foster Farms DORI™ QR code using your smartphone camera, as I did here:

Once that notification about the QR code pops up, just click on it and you’ll be redirected to the Foster Farms DORI™ menu page.

Click on recipes! Then, a menu will pop up for you to select what kind of recipes you’d like to browse.

All you have to do is click on 30-Minute Weeknight Meals and start looking for a recipe that you like and might have all the ingredients for.

I found tons of recipes with few and easy ingredients that I had at home. You can also tweak it a little and make it your own with what you have available in your pantry and refrigerator.

Step 3: Create a weekly meal plan with this free Meal Planning Kit

I created a Meal Planning Kit that comes with 3 different pages for you to organize your recipes, create a weekly meal plan and a grocery shopping list. It will help you save time, get organized, and make sure there’s (almost) always a delicious, healthy homemade meal at the table for your family to enjoy.

Here’s what’s included in the Meal Planning Kit and how you can use it with the DORI™ QR code to create your meal plan.

  1. A weekly meal plan sheet, where you’re going to write down the names of the recipes you chose on the Foster Farms DORI™ page. You’ll assign a recipe to each meal/day of the week according to your family’s need.
  2. Then, you’ll use the recipe page to write down the entire recipe from the website. You can stick it into a binder and start your own recipe collection. Or… if you prefer, you can just print them out or screenshot them straight from the website.
  3. Use our shopping list sheet to create your shopping list with all the ingredients you’ll need for the recipe.

Step 4: Execute the meal plan (prepare your meals)

This is the easiest and most fun step! Once everything is planned out, just prepare your meals according to the meal plan you created on your weekly meal plan sheet, following the recipes you found in the Foster Farms DORI™ page!

This week, I made the Lemon & Dill Chicken recipe I found by scanning the Foster Farms DORI™ QR code on the label.

The Lemon & Dill Chicken took me less than 30 minutes to prepare and it’s really delicious!

We have benefited a lot from getting to know and use the Foster Farms DORI™ QR code to plan & prepare our weeknight 30-minute meals! I believe you and your family will love this.

You have the power to change how your meals bring your family together around the table. Start by choosing a chicken package that has the Foster Farms DORI™ label, then select healthy 30-minute weeknight meal recipes right from your phone by opening the camera and scanning the QR code. Then, create a meal plan using your [thrive_2step id=’3945′]Meal Planning Kit[/thrive_2step] to organize the recipes you found on DORI™. Start cooking and enjoying homemade meals as a family!

Now, I’d love to know in the comment section below how you find recipes that are quick and easy to plan & prepare healthy weeknight meals for your family.

Hey Andy, I'm glad you like it! I think it's super helpful. It's not an app, though, so you won't find it to download. What you have to do is scan the Foster Farm label on your camera app. Once you do that, a notification will pop up on the top of your screen. You click that, and you'll be taken to the homepage, where you can browse for recipes and deals. Enjoy it :)
