My husband and I love to feed the boys healthy food and snacks as much as possible, and without compromising on flavor. Most of the time, we have to be super creative and come up with new ideas that will please them and keep them excited.
While we do all of that, we also have to keep in mind the seasons and what fruits and veggies are available in the stores.
At this time of the year, Cuties are back in the stores, ripe and ready to eat. It’s the #100DaysOfSunshine season. They’re tiny, easy to peel, and sweet so little kids can enjoy their flavor.
Because of that, we picked the Cuties clementines and a couple of other fruits to create a delicious and creamy orange fruit salad recipe for snack time!
How we also used this Easy Orange Fruit Salad Recipe to teach an important message to our cuties
We made a huge bowl of fruit salad, decorated the wall in our dining room and made mealtime really fun.
Daddy sat at the table with them and showed them how you can be kind to others. He taught them how to peel their own Cuties clementine oranges and helped them peel their first one.
I think every day in the presence of our kids is an opportunity to teach them something new and good! This was a precious moment for our family that we’ll treasure and remember for years and years to come.
We try to be kind to our kids because we know that they learn a lot more by watching us than they do by having conversations with us.
